VIRTUA MC

Our Team
Mark

Founder

Mark Crumpton, a Brit happily settled in Madrid, is the Founder and CEO of Virtua MC, Spain’s go-to for transcreation and localization. With over 25 years in advertising and MARCOMs, Mark’s worked with everyone from Vodafone to Renault and British Airways, hopping between Saatchi & Saatchi, Y&R, and BBDO along the way. His job? Helping brands sound smart across borders—while keeping the ship sailing smoothly (and in the right direction, of course).

At Virtua, Mark juggles everything from keeping clients happy to wrangling creative and translation teams. He also dishes out a bit of wisdom (when we let him). Oh, and he’s a proud member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists—for those moments when he needs to sound extra important. One day, he even hopes to get around to writing that sitcom he’s always talking about… stay tuned

Luis
Finance & HR

Luis comes equipped with a Business Administration and Marketing degree from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), where he also snagged diplomas in Executive and Commercial Management—because why settle for just one qualification?

With over 30 years of experience, Luis has pretty much done it all, mastering a variety of roles across Administration, HR, Legal, and even Health & Safety.

At Virtua, Luis keeps our financials in top shape and ensures the company runs smoothly day to day. He also manages project logistics and keeps supplier relations running like clockwork. On top of that, he’s a bit of a wordsmith in Spanish, lending his creative flair to transcreation projects that need that special touch of magic (but in Spanish!). In short, Luis is the guy making sure everything stays on track and looking good!

Paula
Linguistic Project Manager and Social Media Manager

Paula comes with a dual honours degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communications, plus a Master’s in Digital Communication—because why stop at one? For the last five years, she’s been flexing her skills in the press world, writing for the international section of Diario ABC, one of Spain’s top national newspapers. She’s also had stints as a broadcaster for Radio Onda and a Community Manager, because multitasking is her thing.

On top of that, Paula’s picked up pro-level experience in social media management and graphic design. She’s bilingual in English and Spanish, with a British academic background and some well-spent time in the UK and US.

At Virtua, Paula’s on board to help us grow and thrive, bringing her international flair to new client and project acquisitions in an increasingly digital world. Basically, she’s here to keep us on the cutting edge!

Teresa
Project Coordinator

Teresa has been keeping us all in check at Virtua since 2008. With a love for languages and business skills that could run circles around most, her “can-do” attitude has shown us all that no task is too big and “impossible” has no place in her vocabulary toolbox.

She’s our go-to for project coordination, revision, proofreading, and top-notch quality control. Working side by side with our communication consultants and writers, she makes sure every project gets her expert touch and perfectionist standards—because if Teresa’s on it, you know everything’s gonna be alright.

Daniel
Project Coordinator and AV Producer

Daniel, our resident dual-nationality Spaniard-Brit, holds a Film degree from Kingston University London (fancy, right?). After a year of honing his production and post-production skills in London’s fast-paced industry, Daniel returned to Spain to embrace the freedom of freelance life, where he juggled copywriting gigs at Pink Lab and burned the midnight oil at production houses like BLUA Producers and Toy Producciones. Oh, and he’s also dabbled in client management at Accom and Global Blue—because why not?

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Daniel’s here at Virtua to help us level up as we take on new clients, projects, and a more international, digital-focused future.
